# The Antarctic Meteorological Research Center (AMRC) collects, archives #
# and provides Antarctic meteorological observational data to the #
# community and public for research, logistic, and educational activities.#
# The AMRC requests acknowledgement for use of the data in any published #
# work. See http://amrc.ssec.wisc.edu/acknowledgement.html for details on #
# how to acknowledge AMRC data, displays or information. #
# If the AMRC data are critical to the work, co-authorship may be #
# appropriate. Please contact the AMRC in such a case. #

yr = year
mo = month
da = day
hr = hour
mi = minute of observation
tair = air temperature at sensor boom height
tint = internal temperature inside electronics enclosure
tsnow = temperature at lower temperature probe - initially
1 meter below surface
solar = solar radiation measurement - a negative value sometimes
results when sun is down. This is due to A/D jitter.
tdiff = temperature difference between sensor boom probe and the
probe at 2 meters above surface initially. This will go
off scale if lower temp probe is eventually buried in
the snow as snow accumulates.
t20 = temperature at 2 meters derived from subtracting tdiff
from tair.
t20 = temperature at 2 meters derived from adding temperature
differences from snow temperature probe.
Note: these last two values should be the same but that
would only be the case if all probes are at original
levels with respect to the boom and snow surface.
t40 = temperature at original 4 meter level
t35 = temperature at original 3.5 meter level
.
.
t00 = temperature at original snow surface level
t-5 = temperature at original -50 cm level below snow surface
t-10 = temperature at -1.0 meter level (PRT sensor) also snow
temp
.
t-40 = temperature at original -4.0 meter level
