Polar Orbiting Satellite Images
These remapped polar stereographic satellite images from the NOAA polar orbiting satellites received and archived at McMurdo Station, Antarctica are updated every 20 minutes to show the latest passes. View the daily polar orbiting satellite navigation tracks. Currently, these images are showing infrared channel data
Also available are the same polar orbiting data with Automatic Weather Station (AWS) and Synoptic (manned station) observations plotted on top of the NOAA imagery with temperatures (degrees C) in red, relative humidity (%) in green, wind barbs (knots) in cyan, station pressure (millibars) in gold, and Argos or WMO identification number in beige: Currently, these images are showing infrared channel data
