The updates listed here apply only to the ten-minute interval data and may refer 
to files or directories which have since been moved, removed, or replaced. Any
questions you may have can be directed to amrc@ssec.wisc.edu.

03/09/99 -- Kenton (8922) for June 1989 through December 1989 and GRIP (8937)
            for August 1989 have been replaced with ipdated versions to update
            some header information.

02/11/99 -- (8901) and (8915) for January 1989, were replaced with updated 
            versions to update the header information.

02/04/99 -- Sushila (8921) for 1989 was replaced with updated versions to correct
            header errors.

02/02/99 -- Pegasus (8911) for January through October 1989 was replaced with
            updated versions to correct header errors.

09/30/97 -- GISP2 (8936) for all of 1989 has been replaced with updated versions, 
            adding more vertical temperature difference data.

11/15/96 -- GRIP (8937) for August of 1989 was replaced; the header info was
            adjusted.

04/24/96 -- Monthly .zip archives replaced for June-December 1989.

04/23/96 -- Monthly .tar.Z archives replaced for June-December 1989.

04/22/96 -- GRIP (8937) data added for August-November 1989.  Data for GISP2
            (8936) for June, September, and December 1989 was replaced with
            updated versions.

04/18/96 -- GISP2 (8936) data added for June-December 1989.  Monthly .tar.Z
            and .zip archives pulled to facilitate their upgrading.

04/10/95 -- Monthly .zip files were added to 1989.

04/04/95 -- All .zip files for 1989 were temporarily removed.  All .tar.Z files
            have been replaced in 1989.

03/15/95 -- Monthly .zip files replaced in 1989.

03/10/95 -- Recently added/replaced data in 1989 were altered slightly and
            replaced in the appropriate directories. 0189.tar.Z replaced in 1989.

03/08/95 -- The file 0189.tar.Z was removed from 1989 due to being an
            incomplete dataset.  The file 8901x189.r was added, containing
            January data for Jimmy site.

01/27/95 -- Monthly .zip files replaced in pub/10min/rdr/1989.

01/25/95 -- All 1989 .r files have been replaced, except the following:
            89020989.r  89160489.r  89160689.r  89161089.r  89230589.r
            89280589.r  89280789.r  89160389.r  89160589.r  89160989.r
            89181289.r  89230989.r  89280689.r  89280889.r  89280989.r
            which did not require alteration.

            Monthly .tar.Z files replaced in pub/10min/rdr/1989. 

01/24/95 -- Monthly .tar.Z files and monthly .zip files removed from
            pub/10min/rdr subdirectories of 1989 until such time as they are
            replaced with corrected versions.

08/05/94 -- The file "readme.format" was revised.  Monthly .zip 
            files were added to 10min/rdr/1989.

08/04/94 -- The remainder of 1989 data were added to 10min/rdr/1989.
            Monthly .tar.Z files were added to 10min/rdr/1989.

08/03/94 -- Part of 1989 ten minute data were added to 10min/rdr/1989.

08/01/94 -- Part of 1989 ten minute data was added to 10min/rdr/1989.
