Operation:
	AWS 8917 was tested and the Argos test set displayed garbled data.  The malfunction was found to be the transmitter/oscillator.  The transmitter frequency was measured and found to vary between 403.650 to 403.897 MHz instead of the 401.650 MHz quoted.  The transmitter and oscillator were exchanged with those from AWS 8912.  Subsequent testing showed the station to be functioning well.  It was deployed 19 February 1986.
