The format we used in the past was a 16.67 pitch, 8.5 point font, line printer typeface. Each page is 60 lines. These files can easily be modified for font size, etc., by the user as they are plain text. Filenames are constructed as follows: Those with a three letter month abbreviation and a two digit year signifier contain Antarctic data for sites 8900-8947. A three letter month abbreviation and two digit year signifier, followed by the letter e, indicate Antarctic data for sites 8980-8988. A three letter month abbreviation and two digit year signifier, followed by the letter w, indicate Antarctic data for sites 8695, 8697, and 9116. A three letter month abbreviation and two digit year signifier, followed by w3, indicate Antarctic data for sites 30305, 30374, 30393, and 30416. A three letter month abbreviation followed by cha and two digit year signifier indicate Antarctic data for 28338. Those files that begin with either the letter gr or grn contain Greenland data. Typically there are two of these files per month, as one contains data from the 8980's sites, and the other contains the rest. Files beginning with the prefix sip contain Siple Coast data (stations with the five digit argos ID numbers beginning with 213). The file "readme.sumupdates" in this directory will contain up-to-date information on additions or changes to the summary files.
