Greetings, A building high pressure system is over the northeast corner of the Ross Ice Shelf and extends a ridge southward along the Trans Antarctic Mountain range. Expect faire conditions for the camp for today through midday Saturday when light fog returns. Friday: Mostly clear skies for today with southerly winds of 8-12 knots and unrestricted visibility. Saturday: Continued fair skies with unrestricted visibility, reducing to 3-5 miles in light fog by noon, further reducing to 1-3 in the evening as the fog thickens. Winds will be southerly at 6-10 knots with a few gusts to 18 knots in the afternoon. Sunday: Another day of mostly clear skies with visibility restricted to 1-3 miles in fog. Winds expected to be light and variable to start the day, becoming south-southeasterly at 6-10 knots with a few gusts to 18 knots beginning after noon. Cheers, Vincent Weber
