This allows a trough associated with a low-pressure center over Roosevelt Island to drift over the central Ice shelf. Winds are forecast southeast through south at 8-12 knots, occasionally gusting to 18 knots. Friday: Mostly clear skies with 1-3 miles of visibility in fog. Southeast winds will be 8 -12 knots tapering off to light and variable by mid-afternoon. Cheers, Vincent Weber
