Greetings, With the low pressure system officially gone, a very weak high pressure system is now forming on the Ross Ice Shelf. With the weak high, a blanket of low clouds has reestablished itself on the ice shelf and is still expected to inch towards CIR. Sunday: Expect mostly overcast conditions with low ceilings. Visibility will be unrestricted in the morning and deteriorate to between 1-3 miles in fog in the afternoon. Winds will be light and variable. Monday: Expect the overcast ceiling to persist. Visibility should be around 1-3 miles in fog with light snow beginning in the evening. Winds will be S-SE at 5-10 knots in the morning and will become SE-E at 3-6 knots in the afternoon. Tuesday: There will be a strong enough push from winds flowing from Western Antarctic across the shelf to cause a brief period of scattered clouds in the morning. Visibility will continue to be 1-3 miles due to fog and light snow. Winds will be 3-8 from the SE. Thank you, Jenna Palmer
