Greetings, Upper level low pressure circulation propagates clouds across the Ross Ice Shelf. Weak cyclonic circulation at the surface will eventually weaken as the center pulls off of the ice shelf and into the Ross Sea. Low clouds pooled on the ice shelf will gradually draw westwards in a steady stream over Crary Ice Rise. Wednesday: Expect the low ceilings to remain over CIR with a persistent ceiling. Visibility will remain between 1-3 miles due to fog with occasional snow. Winds will be mostly SE-SW at 5-10 knots. Thursday: Weak winds aloft continue to propagate cloud cover to CIR, so anticipate the low overcast to remain constant. Visibility will be between 2-4 miles in mist and occasional light snow becoming unrestricted in the afternoon. Winds will be SE at 10-15 knots. Friday: Expect more low overcast ceilings with occasional light snow. Visibility will likely be 2-4 miles in mist. Winds will be S-SW at 5-10 knots. Jenna Palmer
