Greetings, The low off of the Marie Byrd Land coast decays and moves towards the Antarctic Peninsula. As it does so, the remaining pressure gradient will still manage to stay across the Ross Ice Shelf for the next couple of days, causing residual cloud cover to continuously circulate towards CIR. Thursday: Lower overcast ceilings will remain throughout the day. Expect winds to be between 5-10 knots from the SW. Visibility will be between 1-3 miles due to mist. Friday: Drying will occur at the surface and expand across CIR, scattering out clouds and improving visibility in the morning. Visibility will be 1-3 miles due to mist in the morning and lift to unrestricted in the afternoon. Winds will be S at 10-15 gusting 20 knots in the morning, declining to 3-8 from the SE in the afternoon. In the evening, clouds will once again engulf CIR and visibility will decline back to 1-3 miles in mist. Saturday: Low ceilings will materialize overnight and remain throughout the day. Visibility will be between ½ -2 miles due to fog. Winds will be mostly 5-10 knots from the NE. Thank you, Jenna Palmer
