Greetings, A localized high pressure center over the McMurdo Sound continues to extend a weak ridge over the western Ice Shelf displacing receding low pressure centered near Siple Dome allowing for fair conditions at the camp. Friday: Mostly clear skies with unrestricted visibility and southerly winds of 5-10 knots. Saturday: Continued mostly clear skies with unrestricted visibility, reducing to 3-5 miles in light fog by mid-day. Winds will be southerly through southeasterly at 5-10 knots. Sunday: The day will start with mostly clear skies developing occasional broken ceilings between 1000 and 3000 feet in the afternoon as a low-level disturbance, travels over the camp. Visibility will remain 3-5 miles in light fog with an occasional reduction to 1-3 miles in light snow midafternoon. Winds will be southeasterly at 4-8 knots, shifting to the northeast in the afternoon. Cheers, Vincent Weber
