Greetings, A weak low pressure circulation is currently to the north of CIR, which will cause temporary clearing tonight. The Ross Ice Shelf will lack any significant weather system for the next couple of days besides two weak low pressure circulations that are unlikely to persist past tomorrow. As a result, the low cloud mass currently present on the Ross Ice Shelf is likely to remain over Crary for the next few days, keeping the visibility reduced. Sunday: Since CIR is on the edge of the low circulation on the shelf, there will likely be a period of clearing in the morning with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies and unrestricted visibility. Expect low broken ceilings with occasional light snow to return in the afternoon. Visibility will be 1-3 miles due to fog. Winds will be light and variable. Monday: More low cloud ceilings and overcast conditions are anticipated. Expect the visibility to be between 1-3 miles in fog and light snow. Winds will be light and variable becoming SW at 5-10 kts in the afternoon. Tuesday: Low cloud ceilings are expected to persist. Fog will continue to restrict visibility to around 1-3 miles. Winds will be SW at 5-10kts. Jenna Palmer
