Forecast Discussion: Persistent low cloud ceilings with periods of fog today ahead of the next low-pressure system developing to the north of Ross Island with the help of glacier outflow and moving into the area this evening causing strong southerly winds and blowing snow. After the southerly winds decrease on Saturday expect another round of easterly winds bringing in freezing fog and low ceilings with some improvement on Sunday then returning again on Monday.
