Expect light winds for most of the forecast period as low-pressure circulations are confined to the eastern ice shelf near Roosevelt Island. Indications are for a weak surface trough moving

through on Wednesday morning causing a period of increased wind speeds with drifting snow, then a mild low-pressure system developing late Thursday will bring in low clouds and light snow

through Friday morning. Temperatures will remain in the -35C to -40C range through most of the forecast period (indicated by the yellow block).
