A period of enhanced winds, snow, and blowing snow will occur this afternoon as a small system rolls to the east of Ross Island. Temperatures are expected to increase a few degrees as a result but with temperatures staying around M45C currently I doubt it will break M40 and if so, not for very long. A larger system is still tracking to impact McMurdo Friday and into the weekend, with temperatures warming past M40 but bringing low ceilings, snow, and blowing snow. There may be a window where temperatures are warm enough but before the onset of snow and blowing snow Friday afternoon. Cheers, Joey Snarski
