Cold temperatures remain in place today, but a warming trend is indicated as that cold air is expected to retreat southward over the next five days. This will enable stronger lows to move into the Ross Sea, further warming things in the McMurdo vicinity but also delivering low clouds, snow, and strong winds/blowing snow to the airfield this weekend. But between now and then we should see a “green” day or two, likely as early as tomorrow.
