An intense Ross Sea low-pressure system causes strong Herbie conditions today through Thursday morning then expect improving

conditions by Thursday afternoon.  Winds continue strong and gusty with periods of blowing snow and drifting snow through the remaining

forecast period as skies scatter out Friday and Saturday. On Sunday cloud cover increases once again as next low-pressure system begins

to develop and move into the area from the east.
