Model Verification Project and Quality Control of AWS Observations
The Antarctic Meteorological Research and Data Center (AMRDC) and the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) are collaborating on a project to quantify differences between NIWC Automatic Weather Station (AWS) observations and Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model output from the Antarctic Mesoscale Prediction System (AMPS) in the Ross Island/McMurdo region.
