Forecast Discussion: The Ross Sea Low is still tracking well to the east of Ross Island. Indications are that it will enter Marie Byrd Land near Cape Colbeck today and pull

the low circulation, and most of the associated moisture, on the Ross Ice Shelf to the east as well. So expect favorable conditions at airfields today and tomorrow then

deteriorating conditions with the next Ross Sea approaching from the north late on Saturday. For Crary Ice Rise, conditions are expected improve for a brief period

Friday afternoon to Saturday morning, but then effects of the low to the east will cause more strong winds, snow, and blowing snow there through end of the period.
