A small low pressure system is currently tracking from the north, to the southeast of Phoenix. Winds will increase as the pressure gradient tightens from the low. A second low will move across the Ross Sea, keeping the gradient tight and winds gusting. With strong gusts out of the south, blowing snow will reduce visibility below minimums until the lows move downstream on the 7th. The 8th and the 9th will see a break in weather, as Phoenix will be under and area of ridging.
