A trough drives snow up the shelf towards station today. Winds at Phoenix should remain relatively light for most of the day with the exception being a period of gusting in the afternoon will likely cause further deterioration on shelf later today. As the through decays and draws northwards, temperatures will decrease as clouds move out starting tomorrow night. The pressure gradient across the Ross Ice Shelf will likely remain strong enough to cause periodic gusting through the airfield with subsequent visibility drops.
