A trough to the north will slowly move downstream today. The pressure gradient will remain tight, keeping the airfield a little gusty for Sunday. A low will move from Marie Byrd Land into the Ross Sea. This low will not move close enough to Ross Island to bring strong gusts, but will impact winds enough to create blowing snow to cause visibility restrictions. Once this low moves further into the Ross sea, high pressure will build and give fair conditions.
