A high pressure system in the west of the Ross Sea and convergence from glacial outflow from wrap around towards the airfield, maintaining borderline temperatures throughout the day into tomorrow. The incoming trough from the north on Thursday afternoon will elevate wind speeds around station. Due to its positioning, there is a high spread between gusts and sustained, which will likely materialize as short periods of rapidly deteriorating conditions the shelf. As the low progresses southwards, the sustained wind speeds will increase with gusts possibly reaching >50kts. Cloud cover positioning is still highly uncertain, and no precipitation is currently associated with the system.
