A series of low pressure systems passing by Ross Island will bring in marginal weather throughout the week, though mostly through occasional visibility drops due to snow. A low forming north of Ross Island and moving southeastwards across the ice shelf will likely cause high winds with gusts possibly exceeding 35kts and frequent visibility drops due to snow and blowing snow. On Friday a decaying low on the ice shelf could still generate some terrain-enhanced precipitation forming along the transantarctic mountains and moving towards station.
