The low in the Ross Sea with its pressure gradient extending across the Ross Ice Shelf will persist throughout the day, causing high winds and poor visibility throughout the day with another spike in gust speeds midday. The low will begin its decay and track towards West Antarctica, weakening its pressure gradient as it does so. Winds will begin calming in the evening and into tonight. Tomorrow a small redeveloping low north of Ross Island may produce cloud cover and some gusts wrapping around station.

Another low pressure system later in the will likely draw low cloud ceilings and snow to station. However, there is currently high uncertainty in its position and intensity. If the system is positioned closer to station, this could cause an increase in blowing snow and subsequent visibility drops.
