Forecast Discussion:

Poor weather continues today due a potent trough associated with low pressure over the northeastern Ross Sea. As the low recedes overnight, the deep moisture will go with it. However, model data suggest a continued tight pressure gradient over the region which could mean strong winds linger even after the snow stops. With the significant accumulation seen over the course of the system, blowing snow remains a factor we’ll be watching through Wednesday morning. Please feel free to contact the Charleston ROF with any questions.

Respectfully,
