Forecast discussion: Winds continuing strong today and tonight due to a low-pressure system passing to the northeast of Ross Island. Expect more snow and blowing snow reducing visibility through tonight with improving conditions tomorrow as winds begin to slacken. After a break on Friday, indications are for a passing surface trough to kick up gusty surface winds again along with snow and blowing snow on Saturday afternoon. Then favorable conditions return with light winds under high-pressure on Sunday and Monday (15-16 March).
