06/24/09 -- Since June 22, 2009, radiosonde observations from South Pole 
	    Station and McMurdo Station do not have wind observations 
	    (or have very few).  This problem is likely related to a GPS 
	    satellite problem, but the exact cause is still under 
	    investigation.  Until it is resolved, wind observations from 
	    both South Pole and McMurdo Station radiosondes are expected 
	    to be lacking this information.  We will provide more 
	    information as it becomes available.
